Australia's leading bookseller for 141 years. Other noteworthy developments you see are the lengths that vincent will do to protect and secure his family; as well as, corrado's bad-assness” take control to find some kind of order and peace for all of the characters, including himself. I loved book 1, sempre, it was a beautiful read and I gave it 5 stars. I love this series, it has got to be the best set of books I have ever read.
I am so emotional right now writing this because it cements the fact that I have finished this amazing book, meaning haven and carmines journey is over. In this second and final book of sempre duology, carmine and haven's life totally sempre redemption . Sempre, the first book in this series, is one of the best books I read last year. This book was more just a love story and if you peel back the layers, you'll realize that love and sacrifice does come hand in hand.
But I cannot but help rooting for corrado at every some point I've found the main characters pointless, but they indirectly made the side characters who they were. I loved the first book, sempre, with all my heart and was so excited to read its follow up, sempre: redemption. He loves haven deeply and every time he referred to haven as tesoro, my heart fluttered.
I especially loved getting corrado's point-of-veiw throughout the book, and I loved the ending. I cannot put into words what I feel after reading this book. However, saving haven from the dark intentions of a mafia family cost carmine a steep price: he was forced to swear loyalty to them. Weaved within this mafia story is haven & carmine's incredible love story that at times just takes your breath away.
It made my heart race, kept me connected and took me on a reading journey unlike any other I'd ever been on. Needless to say, sempre: redemption was one of my most highly anticipated book releases of the year and I could not wait to find out what happened next for carmine and haven. It was my fascination with the mafia and my passion about the subject of human trafficking that inspired the plot of sempre and sempre: redemption.
